Marina Prior – Guest Performer
Marina is Australia’s leading lady of musical theatre, having performed lead roles in over twenty stage productions. She has recorded three CDs accompanied by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and has received numerous awards acknowledging her contribution to the performing arts. A critically acclaimed Australasian concert tour with international tenor, José Carreras, remains one of the many highlights of Marina’s career.
Since her appearance at Frontline 2005, Marina Prior has been one the event’s most memorable guest performers. Marina is delighted to return to the Frontline stage this year, in support of SU Qld’s school chaplains.
Laurie Lawrence – Keynote Speaker
Laurie Lawrence is one of Australia’s most successful Olympic coaches. He is also a successful businessman, and a devoted family man. His coaching achievements boast 10 gold, 11 silver and 12 bronze medals and 23 world records from swimmers he has directly influenced. Renowned for his energetic personality, unique ability to motivate others, and his sense of humour, Laurie is looking forward to showing his support for school chaplains at Frontline in 2009. Following on from the keynote address delivered at last year’s event by one of his star pupils, Duncan Armstrong, Laurie is eager to ‘return serve’ this year.
Jal Joshua – Fresh New Talent
13-year-old Jal Joshua won thousands of hearts when he appeared in the 2009 season of the TV show ‘Australia’s Got Talent’. His moving performances throughout the series won him the title of ‘Runner-up’, and he is soon to release his own album. Jal Joshua is excited to be performing at Frontline this year.
